Laina goes to LA

Laina had her first Thanksgiving outside the womb this year. We left Denver in a light snowstorm on Wednesday and got to sit in some good old 405 traffic on the way to my parents house in Santa Clarita. Laina finally got to meet her cousins Kylie, Conner, and Kaity, her Aunt Erin and Uncle Jeff, and Aly and J.T. who are somehow related to her but its too hard to figure out the terms...

She also got to have some hang-time with her grandparents. We had a good time with all the kids, although Laina was a little overwhelmed at first. Jenna got sick in the middle of the night Thursday night, but was feeling better by Saturday.

We headed up to Palmdale Friday afternoon to the Ali household where Laina got to meet little yappy dogs for the first time... she thought they were funny. Grandma and Grandpa Ali got to show her some new things and get some good laughs out of her, and were proud to show off their grandbaby at church on Sunday.

We flew back Monday afternoon, stopping off at In 'N Out at LAX, where Laina enjoyed her first fast-food water, and had her back in her bed by around 8:00.

Here's some pics:

Laina with her three loving cousins, Kylie, Kaity, and Conner

Kaity declared Laina "her best friend" before we came out... apparently they're still good

The whole clan holding smiles for an unnaturally long time for multiple photographers (pictured: Jay's parents, brother's family, cousin Aly, and Erin's brother J.T.)

Jenna giving a horsie ride to Kylie

Playing the baby grand piano (its for babies, right?)

Jenna's side (minus her brother Jesse, who's in Japan) Laina has freakish gorilla-arms in this picture... and Larry was looking at the other camera... and Laina was looking at the dog probably

Grandpa Ali showing Laina how to bang together metal measuring cups... she loved it

Chillin' with Grandma Ali

I love the picature of Jenna's fam. It reminds me of a graduation pic, one person paying attention and everyone else not so much! In N Out sounds really good right now too.

Looks like you guys had a great turkey day! I love the family photos. You'll be so thankful that you too them in the future. I'm still bummed we didn't take any this year. I must do it at Christmas, whether people like to or not!
