Daniel Libeskind is the architect of the new Denver Art Museum, which just opened this month. I happen to have noticed a while back that he's probably the only famous architect I could pull off in a costume. Given that the museum just opened, I decided if I'm ever going to dress up as him for Halloween it would have to be this year. Since I work in an architecture office, everyone knows what the guy looks like. I don't think it would have worked anywhere else... Anyway, i got a prize for "best use of 15 minutes of fame" - a $15 gift card with a $6 costume (blazer from the thrift store and grey hair spray - exaggerated glasses were homemade)
Plus I kept giving unsolicited advice all day to the designer who's working on the Justice Center... telling him to make it "pointier" (the art museum is quite pointy en paarts). Funnier was the fact that the designer was also wearing all black that day, and another guy from our office dressed up as him... wearing all black...
