Laina has been excited to move into her big girl room for a few months now. Jay painted the great two-tone walls a while back and we've just been waiting to get her a bed and dresser. The set was finally delivered on Wednesday and Laina moved in and made herself comfortable right away. Unfortunately, even though we did measure the room and knew the dimensions of the furniture, we didn't take into consideration the fact that the drawers under the bed would actually need to open. So the original layout was scrapped and we are putting the dresser under the window for now. When Laina is used to sleeping in the bed we can move it away from the wall (and remove the bed rail) and then rearrange the room.
The set is really fun because the circles in the bed and dresser are customizable. I cut out some scrapbook paper and did the dresser circles, but I still need to do the bed. You can even put pictures in them if you want because they are protected by a thick plastic front cover. Pretty neat!
Laina loves her bed and has been sleeping really well in it for naps and bedtime. Yay!
